Lucy came to live with us at six months of age. She was never socialized, deathly afraid of people and
just about everything else. It was an uphill battle and only possible because she followed me like a shadow.
Boy are we happy we have her! 

After a year and a half of weekly obedience classes we were able to earn her CGC and then on to her obedience CD title,
even going High In Trial at the Akita Club of America National Specialty in 1997. Just goes to show what hard work and lots of love can accomplish.

 Our Lucy has suffered with severe allergies from a very young age and is also hypothyroid. But through it all she has given us so much happiness and love. We enjoy every day with her.  She has never been a kennel dog as it was so beneath her! What a life she has had, a bit too many cookies but lots of love and the respect of our other dogs.
